INSURANCE SPECIALISTS is owned and operated by Jimmy L. Clifton. Jimmy is a native of Amarillo and graduated from Caprock

High School in 1973. After attending Amarillo College, Jimmy and his

wife Suzanne moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he completed his college education at the University of Tennessee in 1980.

INSURANCE SPECIALISTS was actually started in 1982 when Jimmy began his insurance career with Business Men’s Assurance

located at 1220 S. Georgia. This early experience resulted in a vast experience of Commercial Insurance, which was the company’s primary area of expertise. This ranged anywhere form Group Health Insurance to Workers Compensation. The company also designed and implemented many types of Business Owner’s life insurance programs such as Key Man Coverage, Buy-Sell Agreements and other business perpetuation plans designed to allow a smooth transition of business ownership from one principal to another. In 1985, Jimmy obtained his series 6 investment licenses allowing the agency to assist in all facets of Financial Planning including 401K plans, mutual funds, IRA accounts and many other investment related products.
